Burt Lake Basement Remodel, Cheboygan
This basement on beautiful Burt Lake in Cheboygan got the VIP treatment with an upgraded ceiling during their remodel. During this drop ceiling installation, duct-work and lighting fixtures were covered with light colored panels to create a brightened space. These ceiling panels also help keep heating and cooling costs low by trapping air and creating an insulating effect.
Thunder Bay Community Health Service, Onaway
Dropped ceiling is a must for commercial buildings and offices, especially medical facilities. Drop ceiling tiles are antimicrobial, easy to clean, easy to replace, and fire resistant. They also help to create a bright space, while actually reducing the amount of light that needs to be used!
Basement Remodel, Petoskey
This homeowner in Petoskey had just done major renovations upstairs, which resulted in a need for major support structures downstairs that needed covering up. This dropped ceiling installation helps hide insulation and support structures, while still allowing easy access to important ductwork and electrical components. This is especially important in rooms like the bathroom. In addition, ceiling panels are specially designed to be resistant to mold, mildew, and other harmful bacteria that can often be found in humid bathroom areas. Finally, acoustical tiles also help to reduce sound coming from above, resulting in a cozy and quiet living space.
Petoskey Ice Arena
Petoskey Ice Arena was a unique challenge where they wanted to keep the lights and other ceiling structures from becoming damaged, without reducing the brightness of the locker rooms and other areas of the arena. This problem was solved by the installation of a special durable ceiling grid hung below the lights for protection. In many areas you will notice that the space above the grid is painted black to give it the look of a full ceiling; also to help conceal any unsightly duct-work behind the brightness of the lights.
Basement Remodel
During lock-down, A LOT of people decided to get in shape. This was a fun basement remodel for a couple who needed to make room for a new in-home gym. In order to accommodate the new machines in the space, the ceiling needed to be raised up.
